RUTH’S REFUGE FOR WOMEN

She extends her hand to the poor, and she stretches out her hands to the needy. (Proverbs 31:20)

Ruth’s Refuge is a transitional program for women seeking restoration into society.  Women here experience the healing love and power of Jesus Christ.  The ladies are encouraged to find jobs or educational advancement.  Women are accepted into Ruth’s Refuge on a case-by-case basis.  We provide the tools to become self-sufficient and teach the foundational truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His love for us.

Ruth’s Refuge

  • Is a safe place.
  • Is for single women 19 years of age or older.
  • Women can be referred to the program from outside entities or by personally making contact.
  • We accept referrals from places such as other shelters, transitional housing programs, alcohol and drug treatment facilities, appropriate church ministry staff, hospitals and other homeless service providers. (for the safety of our residents, Ruth’s Refuge is not a walk-in facility.)
  • Emergency Shelter stay can be up to 30 days. Long term stay or Transitional Housing can be for up to twelve months.
  • During their stay, residents must budget and save their money. They also receive services such as social work, case management and counseling.
